Wine cellars in Alamo
A growing Alamo collection needs more than another rack. It needs space for cases, larger bottles and the wines you want to leave alone. Wine Hardware can help you plan that room, choose cooling and compare racking at our Walnut Creek showroom before you order.
Your project
What do you want the room to do for your collection? Bring Mike a photo, dimensions and a rough bottle count to compare the storage and cooling choices for your project.

What we build here
Start with a count of individual bottles and unopened cases, then tell us how you buy. A layout for regular case purchases should make those cases easy to store without crowding the bottles you open during the week.
Compare open case shelving, bins and individual bottle rows. Bring the dimensions of wooden cases and larger bottles so the layout reflects what you own.
An interior room and a garage conversion can need different preparation. Review insulation, the door, cooling placement and access with your contractor before choosing equipment.
Discuss future racking alongside the first layout. Leave access and service space in the plan, and confirm component availability when you are ready to add more.
How a cellar happens
Agree on the scope, equipment and current lead times before ordering. The schedule depends on the room, products and work your contractor needs to complete.
Where the wine will live, how many bottles you own now, and how many you expect in five years. Photos and a rough sketch are enough.
Dimensions, insulation, vapour barrier, glass area, power, and where the heat can go. This is the step that prevents expensive surprises.
Rack elevations, bottle count by bottle type, cooling options and finishes — reviewed before anything is ordered.
We supply racking, cooling, doors and refrigeration, and give your contractor rough-in notes for power, framing and condensate.
Review the layout and equipment instructions with your project team. Then bring your wine and accessory questions to Mike at the showroom to plan how you will stock and use the space.
The parts
All of it is stocked or ordered through the Walnut Creek showroom, and every one of them is a decision we can make with you before you buy.

Before you decide
Photographs flatten everything. Racking depth, the weight of a glass door, the actual noise a cooling unit makes at three feet — those you have to stand next to.
