Wine cellars in Napa
A Napa collection may arrive as individual bottles, magnums or wooden cases. Give each format a place before you settle on a capacity number. Wine Hardware designs and supplies residential and commercial cellar storage, with racking and cooling advice from Walnut Creek.
Your project
What do you want the room to do for your collection? Bring Mike a photo, dimensions and a rough bottle count to compare the storage and cooling choices for your project.

What we build here
A room designed around one standard bottle can leave awkward space for the rest of a collection. Bring representative bottle and case dimensions so each storage type earns its place in the layout.
Compare individual racks with spaces for larger bottles and cases. Count capacity against the collection, rather than assuming every slot holds the same shape.
Allow room to retrieve cases and reach bottles without unloading another section. Keep equipment service access out of the storage count.
For winery or tasting-room projects, describe stock movement, display needs and staff access alongside the collection. Review cooling with that use in mind.
How a cellar happens
Agree on the scope, equipment and current lead times before ordering. The schedule depends on the room, products and work your contractor needs to complete.
Where the wine will live, how many bottles you own now, and how many you expect in five years. Photos and a rough sketch are enough.
Dimensions, insulation, vapour barrier, glass area, power, and where the heat can go. This is the step that prevents expensive surprises.
Rack elevations, bottle count by bottle type, cooling options and finishes — reviewed before anything is ordered.
We supply racking, cooling, doors and refrigeration, and give your contractor rough-in notes for power, framing and condensate.
Review the layout and equipment instructions with your project team. Then bring your wine and accessory questions to Mike at the showroom to plan how you will stock and use the space.
The parts
All of it is stocked or ordered through the Walnut Creek showroom, and every one of them is a decision we can make with you before you buy.

VintageView metal, Modularack pine, redwood and mahogany designer kits, and fully custom millwork when the room refuses to be rectangular.

Compare Transtherm wine cabinets and Marvel built-in refrigerators when a full cellar room is more than you need. Check the exact model’s ventilation, access and bottle-fit requirements.

Corkscrews, preservation systems, decanters, tags and the small things that make a finished cellar usable on a Tuesday night.

Before you decide
Photographs flatten everything. Racking depth, the weight of a glass door, the actual noise a cooling unit makes at three feet — those you have to stand next to.
