How we answer a cellar question

Three steps, and none of them start with a product.

It is the same order we use on the phone, and the same order the articles follow.

  1. Measure the room

Length, width, ceiling, wall build-up, the door and what is on the other side of every surface. Bottle count comes out of that, not out of a wish.

  2. Size the cooling

Work out the room's construction and heat load before choosing a unit. Mike checks equipment location, airflow and service requirements with the contractors he brings in.

  3. Price the whole thing

Racking, cooling, door, finish and install, as a range you can plan around. Then you decide what to do first.

What we sell for Wine Guardian

Wine Hardware stocks these in our Walnut Creek showroom and sizes them for real rooms. Prices are current; freight on the heavy items is quoted with the order.

Not sure which size the room wants? Send Mike the dimensions before you order, that is the part that goes wrong.

Wondering what the room could hold? Call Mike at (925) 944-1084 with a rough bottle count and the dimensions. He will help you compare layouts and cooling before you buy anything.
